i finally got down to changing that confusing template, not only was it messy to look at, i went through a hell lot of trouble trying to edit the html and template settings. this current one is pleasing to the eyes and easy for an IT noob. while scanning through all the templates of the month, i was highly tempted to choose several templates whose faces of korean boybands were plastered on the very front page, enough to tempt me to visit my blog daily and probably blog more. haha but to prevent any of you from going, "wah! you listen to kpop! can't tell!" or worse still, "yucks you like them?!?!" i think plain and simple is the way to go.
i came back from penang about 2 weeks ago? or was it 3? anyway at changi airport arrival hall, while i was collecting my luggage, i vividly heard groups of girls practicing their screaming and cheering at the gate. so being kaypoh, my dad went to ask an indian cleaner.
dad: is there a famous person arriving?
indian cleaner (ic): yeah, korean star
dad: kim yong sun?
ic: ?!?!?!
in case you were wondering who kim yong sun is, its just a random name that my dad threw out, maybe he thought every korean's name sound similar, i don't know. haha so my mum pushed me to ask some of the fans (which would have been the right thing to do from the start rather than asking an ic) and it turned out to be lee min ho! the fan proudly told me that he was arriving at 807pm, her timing was so precised ok, so i thought since its already 730, why not wait right. so the family had yakun kaya toast for dinner which was the only eatery nearest to the arrival hall, so that we wont look as anxious as the fans.
the wait would be considered really worthwhile as 2 days later i learnt that people paid 100 over dollars just to watch him feed people. that money can be used for much more practical purposes lah! ok who am i to complain when i spent an hour of my time waiting for him at the arrival hall. in the end, i gave up waiting, it was 845 and still no sign of him! &#*&*#U@*#(@!!!
a couple of days later, i went for a chalet with my uni friends. remember the past when you have 3 days 2 nights chalet with your classmates? that's no longer trendy for my age group. we need our sleep! haha. especially my dear weird friend who becomes extremely intolerable with little sleep. the chalet was fun, exchanging of gifts was hilarious and my personal favourite present of the night would have to be weijuan's thumbdrive. haha. how practical is that!!!
other than that, this holidays i've been cooping myself up at home, staring at the screen, waiting for any writer's inspiration. of course while waiting, there's always youtube or blogs to keep you occupied. i wonder if any of my friends set a blog counter or user tracker, if there's such a term, to their blogs, i'm sure my url will appear multiple times a day. anything beats doing that dreadful fyp. and as you would have noticed, i'm again blogging during my busiest period as part of my procrastination activities. sigh. i deserve a kick in the butt.
